Forklift diesel engine timing gear housing is installed in the front section of body and is integral or separate from the body. It is used to install fuel injection pump, governor, timing gear and some components. The timing gear housing cover is used to seal the timing gear chamber and prevent oil leakage.
Root Causes Analysis of Abnormal Noise of Timing Gear Chamber of Forklift Diesel Engine
1. Poor lubrication caused by blocked nozzle holes in main oil passage;
2. Improper assembly or too thin spacer with too little clearance. The cam timing gear assembly is skewed during maintenance, the unevenness causes friction between the boss and the flange, and sharp metal noise occurs;
3. The gear meshing gap is too large. When there is an impact load, the tooth surfaces collide with each other and produce abnormal noise;
4. Timing gear machining accuracy is low, there are burrs, poor contact of gear pair;
5. The flange fixing bolts are loose, the gear moves axially, the center of the shaft and hole is offset, the gear meshes unevenly and sways.
